Housekeepers in Sri Lanka

Looking for housekeeping work?

In a hotel the work is preparing rooms: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, restocking and reporting anything that needs repair. In a home it is cleaning, laundry, ironing and keeping the house tidy. Say which you do, and where you have worked, in your profile.

On Ceylon Seva you build a profile with your skills, experience and the hourly rate you expect. Once it’s approved, we send you job offers suited to you, and you decide which to take. Your hours are recorded and confirmed, and your payment statements show what you earned. You work as an independent contractor.

Need a housekeeper?

A hotel books housekeepers for a project, from a busy weekend to a full season. A household creates a position for household help with its own days and hours. You compare the workers matched to you and their hourly rates before you book.

Each worker sets their own hourly rate, and you see it before you book. The platform fees are published in full. See the fee structure

Questions

Is hotel housekeeping the same as household help?

Not quite. Hotels book housekeeping; households book a domestic helper. You can offer both: choose them as skills in your profile, and say whether you work for businesses, households or both.

Can a guest house book a housekeeper for the season?

Yes. Create a project with the season’s dates and schedule. The booking sets out the work and its end date, so it closes when the season does.

Can we have help at home on the same days each week?

Yes. Create a position with the days and hours you need, for as long as you need them. You confirm the hours worked, and regular payments are charged automatically each week.
